Curro said on October 7, 2026, that its Foreshore school team had secured a place among South Africa’s Top 5 school teams in the 2026 JSE Investment Challenge. The company published the update on its Curro website
Students complete a market challenge
Four learners formed Team FCP-BET and managed a simulated portfolio over the six-month competition. The challenge ran from March 16 to September 15 and required participating teams to remain active, including making at least one trade during each relevant game month
The team also finished first in the Schools Equity Portfolio monthly competition in June, recording a 1.30 percent return. Curro said the final position among the leading school teams was due to be announced at the JSE’s annual awards ceremony in Johannesburg
Education remains the core business
Curro operates an independent-school network in South Africa and offers parents a range of schooling options. Its investor-relations page says the group makes education available across southern Africa through creativity and child-friendliness. Curro describes itself as South Africa’s largest independent school network, giving it a broad domestic position among private education providers
